John and Hilda Woodford
How they met
Sorry, I don't know how they met, but I did hear that Hilda dated John's younger brother Cornelious once, and then wouldn't have anything to do with him. I don't know how accurate that is. She then met John, and on January 18, 1937 they maried in Washington, DC, where Frederick was born. Hilda was working at the IRS Special Procedures department, and wanted to get a little closer to Evensville. they decided to move to Indianapolis, IN because she could transfer to the IRS office there. John had skills as a Butcher and worked for Safeway in the beginning. He soon got a job with Allison Transmission, a division of General Motors, and retired from there in 1975 due to a servere illness. Hilda retired from the IRS soon after.
